Over the weekend, the Troupe received an award from The State Thespian Board and was recognized as a Gold Honor Troupe.

Congratulations to Hazel Ramos, CHS senior and standout girls soccer player, for being featured in the Arizona Daily Star! ⚽👏

From kicking a soccer ball at just 3 years old to becoming a leader on the pitch, Hazel represents the very best of Cienega Girls Soccer—grit, dedication, and heart. With 9 goals, 3 assists, a 4.0 GPA, and college soccer on the horizon, her impact goes far beyond the scoreboard.

We are so proud of Hazel for carrying on the Bobcat legacy and inspiring the next generation of student-athletes. 💙🧡

The MLK Basketball Classic will take place on Monday, January 19, 2026, at McKale Center on the University of Arizona campus. The day includes the awarding of scholarships to students and the honoring of high school staff who have demonstrated the values expressed by Dr. King.

This year the 2026 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Basketball Classic Cienega Honoree is none other than our CHS Dance Instructor, Stephanie Johnson. This award is presented to a member of our school community who espouses the life lived by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
