Congratulations to Ashley Michalski for being the recipient of a grant from the Vail School District Foundation this month! This grant will go towards a "Bobcat Cafe" program in our life skills classroom where a coffee delivery service will be created and run by students disabilities. ☕️🐾🧡💙

Parent-Teacher Conferences are coming up, Wednesday, September 11th. Every year Cienega HS CatFRAT PTO shows appreciation to our teachers by providing a meal for them. Congratulations to Mrs. Dixon on receiving a grant from the Vail School District Foundation! Each year VSDF provides numerous classroom grants to help teachers create positive and meaningful experiences for VUSD students.

Starting Monday, we will begin to collect books for the Friends of the Esmond Station Library (FESL) Book Drive! You can drop your books off in the front office!

We will be participating in the annual Vail School District Diaper Drive once again this year! Start stocking up on those diapers and be sure to drop them off in the front office!

Cadet MiaBella Davis (right) received her Qualified Drone Pilot Wings during morning formation ceremony from Commander Micah Brewer (left) at Cienega High School, Vail, Az. 15AUG24. Cadet Davis met all requirements to wear the Drone Pilot Wings to include receiving her FAA Part 107 UAV certificate. Cadet Davis goals include attainment of her private pilot license and is interested in a career in the military as a pilot. Cadet Davis is one of three out of 3000 NJROTC cadets who has qualified in the Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Colorado area. Congratulations, Cadet!

Please join us in congratulating Mr. Hayden Tanksley, a 2024 graduate of Cienega! This summer Hayden auditioned for and received a contract with The Academy Drum & Bugle Corp and then spent the past 3 months on tour competing around the country against other corps. Hayden and The Academy ended their season this past Friday as semi-finalists at the Drum Corp International World Championships. For those unfamiliar, Drum Corp International is the professional league of marching band and something millions of high school and collegiate musicians aspire to participate in before aging out at 21 years old. CONGRATS, HAYDEN!

Are you looking to enhance your driving skills and ensure safety on the road? Are you a new driver and want to learn the ins and outs of safe driving? Our Student Resource Officer, Deputy Barnett will be hosting safe driving classes throughout the school year during Power Up in the 300 Workroom. Open to all grade levels 9th-12th. Learners Permit/Drivers License NOT required for this class. Improve your driving confidence, learn new skills, receive expert instruction and practical advice. Spots are limited with additional dates being offered throughout the school year.
