The U.S. Air Force brought a mobile trailer housing two virtual reality flight simulators to our campus yesterday for students to experience. Students and staff had the option to pilot an F-16 fighter using a real-life throttle and flight stick or operate a real-life KC-135 boom pod to refuel several airborne aircraft including a B-2 Stealth Bomber. Many of our NJROTC Cadets and other students took advantage of this unique opportunity. The simulators are now at Davis-Monthan AFB preparing for the Air Show this weekend.
